Studio
34A in Spanish Village, located at the north end of Balboa Park, has
re-opened its doors this Oct., 2005. Studio 34A features the fine
Gourd Art of Shelley Madariaga and colorful acrylic paintings by Debra
Lyons.
Artist Shelley Madariaga as “Vine Art” has been part of
the Spanish Village Art Group for several years.Now presenting her
gourd art, for the first time, in her own studio. Shelley originates
from the Midwest and has resided in San Diego for 20 years. A large
part of her history and background are in creative woodworking and
construction. You’ll find Shelley’s Gourd sculptures and
vessel to be simple, interesting, elegant and inspiring. These wonderful
forms of nature are carved and embellished with the unique creative
style Shelley has developed. A “must see” in the Village.

can be found working in studio 34A 11-4PM Thursdays-Sundays. To contact

Debra Lyons is a third-generation artist. She is an impressionist
painter, using acrylic paint as her main medium. Debra uses bold strokes
and vivid colors. Her descriptive bye-line is, “The Color of
Life”. She was born and raised in San Diego, California and
resides here today with her husband and children. Debra has a passion
for life; her family; her work and God. Her hope is that her paintings
bring life, light and joy to all who see them.
