Pacific
Beach is a 3 mile long stretch of beach. On the north end is Crystal
Pier, a free fishing pier and also Tourmaline Surf Park, which is
a good longboard break and a fairly easy wave to catch.
On the south end of Pacific Beach is Mission Beach and the Belmont
Park Roller Coaster one of the nations oldest running wooden roller
coasters.
There is a wide boardwalk extending the length of the beach. Pacific
Beach is active all year long with joggers, swimmers, boogie boarders
and the ever present people watchers just watching the show go by.
Location:
Pacific Beach is located off
Interstate 5.
From the north: I-5 south. Exit Balboa/Garnet Avenue. Go west towards
the beach.
From the south: I-5 north. Exit Grand/Garnet Avenues. Go west towards
the beach..
