Our exhibit, “History of Women in the Marine Corps” has received wide acclaim as the most complete history of women who served in the Corps from World War I to the present. On display are ten period uniforms, photographs of women performing various assignments and photos of female General Officers.

Highlights of the exhibit include the flight suit of the first female aviator in the Marine Corps, the helmet of the first female jet pilot, a display of aviation and training memorabilia, and the General Officer “stars” of the first female Brigadier General and Lieutenant General. This is a “must see to appreciate” room.

Location:
Museum hours of operation are Tuesday through Sunday, 9:00AM to 3:30PM. There is no charge for admission, but donations are welcome and support the continuing growth of this one of a kind museum.

The museum is located directly across the street from 8604 Miramar Road. From I-15, proceed west for 1.3 miles and turn left into the parking lot. From I-805, proceed east for 3.9 miles and turn right into the parking lot.
