to Leatherneck Museum
The
twenty six trophies in this display are on permanent loan to the museum
from the Commandant of the Marine Corps. They are awarded annually
to the individual or unit judged to be the best in their field. The
pictures of the recipient and the citation that won them recognition
are directly above the trophy. You must see the trophies and read
the citations to appreciate this “one of a kind” exhibit.
Location:
Museum hours of operation are Tuesday through Sunday, 9:00AM to 3:30PM.
There is no charge for admission, but donations are welcome and support
the continuing growth of this one of a kind museum.
The
museum is located directly across the street from 8604 Miramar Road.
From I-15, proceed west for 1.3 miles and turn left into the parking
lot. From I-805, proceed east for 3.9 miles and turn right into the
parking lot.
