The
vignettes in this virtual tour representation portray a fleeting glimpse
of Marine Corps Aviation history from the Korean War through Desert
Storm. Featured is the POW uniforms worn by one of our early Foundation
members, scarves worn by Marine Corps fighter squadron pilots and
a Landing Signals Officer (LSO) flight suit honoring the first Marine
Corps LSO.
Location:
Museum hours of operation are Tuesday through Sunday, 9:00AM to 3:30PM.
There is no charge for admission, but donations are welcome and support
the continuing growth of this one of a kind museum.
The
museum is located directly across the street from 8604 Miramar Road.
From I-15, proceed west for 1.3 miles and turn left into the parking
lot. From I-805, proceed east for 3.9 miles and turn right into the
parking lot.
