to Leatherneck Museum
From
the night fighter version of the famous F4U “Corsair”
to the PBJ (Marine Corps version of the B-25 made famous by Jimmy
Doolittle’s raid on Tokyo from the carrier flight deck of the
USS Hornet), through the helicopters in the distance and back to the
SNJ, this side of our outdoor exhibits has photo opportunities that
are hard to beat.
Location:
Museum hours of operation are Tuesday through Sunday, 9:00AM to 3:30PM.
There is no charge for admission, but donations are welcome and support
the continuing growth of this one of a kind museum.
The
museum is located directly across the street from 8604 Miramar Road.
From I-15, proceed west for 1.3 miles and turn left into the parking
lot. From I-805, proceed east for 3.9 miles and turn right into the
parking lot.
