La
Jolla Shores is a great beach to take the family. It is ocated between
La Jolla Cove to the south and Scripps Pier and Institute of Oceanography
to the north.
This
mile-long stretch offers white sandy beaches and some of the gentlest
waves in San Diego County, making it a great place for first timers
or little ones to learn how to surf. There is also a park with BBQ’s
for picnicking.
You can rent kayaks and beach equipment right on the beach from several
vendors. There is also scuba diving from the shore. Sometimes at night
you can even see the glow of lights from groups doing night dives.
