The
Belmont Park Roller Coaster is the oldest operating wooden roller
coaster in America, and one of two remaining wooden coasters still
operating on the West Coast.
Constructed in 1925 by John D. Spreckels, San Diego's Belmont Park
is located in Mission Beach. This seven-acre seaside park offers,
carnival rides, arcades, an indoor pool and watersport rentals.
