The
San Diego Museum of Art was first opened in 1926 and it is located
in the heart of Balboa Park. It is the county’s largest art
institution housing European, American, Asian and contemporary art
along with Spanish and Italian masters.
You
can also see 19th and 20th century American paintings and sculptures
by popular contemporary California artists. It is the region's primary
resource for exhibitions and collections of fine art for more than
75 years. You get the chance to learn and connect with various cultures.
The Museum of Art operates from Tuesday through Saturday.
In addition to its nationally renowned permanent collection, the museum
also holds major exhibitions of art from artists from around the world.
It sees more than 500,000 visitors every year and has a regular schedule
